Description
Medication incompatibilities with herbal remedies, Dietary supplements, primary care items, and other pharmacy goods, can develop critical adverse reactions and comorbidities that shall increase the mortality rate in patients. In pharmacology, Incompatible medications can be interactions, duplications, contraindications or all between the medication ingredients with other medications or pharmacy goods. This matter has been ranked as the 4th leading cause of death according to the FDA and it is very common in patients who consume multiple medications and supplements, do self-treatment or have poor health literacy.
It is an epidemic and critical problem in several countries so as in Europe and requires quick interventions to minimize the damage.
“Phamo” is a digital solution built to serve patients inside and outside the pharmacy store in detecting possible incompatibilities in their pharmacy purchases, engage and educates patients and most of all provide 24/7 live advisory with an online pharmacist. The objective here is to create a solution around the patient in delivering the right understanding on personal medications or pharmacy goods with enhancement to overall adherence.
Inside the Pharmacy, Phamo is visible as a digital kiosk that interacts with incoming patients to instantly check the compatibility of their pharmacy goods purchases. Outside the pharmacy, Phamo is available as a mobile app to connect patients with their favorite pharmacy 24/7 for additional advisory.
