• This year, 4000+ applications from the Arab world were received for Arab Startup Competition, highlighting the popularity and maturity of the competition after 11 editions.
  • This year MIT Enterprise Forum partnered with Community Jameel, World Bank Group, touch, and over 50 community partners that supported by outreach and communication.

On December 10, we closed the application window for this year’s Arab Startup Competition, and we are excited to see all the innovations, ideas, and social enterprises that are making an impact in the Arab World.

Now, only the best of applicants will make it through to the next round, especially with our stellar panel of judges who will be reviewing the applications and grading based on our evaluation criteria. Each application will be evaluated by 3 different judges, ensuring the process is transparent and at the highest standards.

On January 14, we will publicly be announcing the names of the semifinalist teams, who will be taking part in a pre-bootcamp which should prepare the participants to perfect their business model, learn about customer mapping, scale their ventures, improve their pitching skills, and more.

Lastly, the competition will culminate in a 2-day event to be held in Beirut, where we will be holding a conference and distribute the awards to the winning teams.
