‘Silicon Valley Program’ provides MENA-based entrepreneurs with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet global investors, entrepreneurs, and media.

It’s this time of the year again when MITEF Pan Arab team packs its bags alongside some of MENA’s brightest entrepreneurs to head all the way to Silicon Valley.

The ‘Silicon Valley Program’ is an immersive program for MENA-based startups, where they take part in a week-long induction into the valley tech ecosystem which involves participating in world-class conferences, workshops, and mentorship activities.

This year will be the fifth edition of the program, where handpicked MENA-based startups will be selected based on a predetermined set of criteria, especially as the program is designed to maximize the benefits for revenue-generating companies that have clear plans for growth and global expansion.

The program revolves around site visits to some of the biggest tech companies in the world like Google, Uber, Salesforce, and others. During those site visits, the participating startups get to learn from C-Level executives who have extensive knowledge and experience in starting (and growing) a global company.

Moreover, the startups exhibit their companies in the MENA pavilion during TechCrunch Disrupt SF, the world’s leading event for entrepreneurship, technology, and innovation.

The value of the program lies in creating networking opportunities for MENA entrepreneurs with the tech ecosystem in the valley, as well as gaining insight into the latest trends in research, investment, and innovation. Over the previous editions, the program has proven to be effective in giving the participating startups exposure to potential investors and partners from all over the world.

Because of the program, one of MITEF Pan Arab’s alumni ‘Wrappup’, a company behind one of the most popular AI note-taking apps, announced being acquired by California-based Voicera, a pioneer in the artificial intelligence and productivity space.

Previous participants in the program have come from Lebanon, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Qatar, and have all made leads to potential investment opportunities and connected with like-minded individuals from around the world.

This year's participating startups come from Qatar, Lebanon, Palestine, and Bahrain!

Stay tuned for updates on the program on #SVP2019 #MITEFArab
