People from all over the world have applied for and won the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition. For the past 14 years, we have been committed to creating a platform for MENA-based startups and innovators to thrive and create world-changing businesses. This year, we are particularly thrilled to have partnered with Community Jameel (Main Partner) and Zain Group (Strategic Digital Partner) to create an impactful program.
Our holistic approach to capacity building is fairly simple: investing in people. Whether through top-tier training programs or international exchange programs we aimed to streamline cross-border knowledge sharing and collaboration. At one point during a Bootcamp training in Amman back in 2019, we had over 100 entrepreneurs from over 30 countries all in the same room. We’re particularly proud of that moment (and many more like it).
For the 14th edition of MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition, we are planning on designing an all-digital high-impact program that would deliver the same experience as an in-person one. If you are considering applying for this year’s edition of the competition, we highly encourage you to attend our upcoming introductory session on November 2 at 4 PM Beirut time.
During the session, we have invited four Arab Startup Competition alumni to share their experience and give us unbiased feedback. We realize that it’s better to hear from someone who had gone through the experience and to answer your questions or concerns.
We’re thrilled to see all of our alumni’s faces:
- Omar Itani General Manager of FabricAid: 1st runner up of the Social Entrepreneurship Track of the Arab Startup Competition 11th edition, 2018
- Walid Daniel Dib cofounder and project lead at Hala (previously Addenda): 1st runner up of the Ideas Track of the Arab Startup Competition 12th edition, 2019
- Amena El Saie cofounder of Entaleq: Winner of the Social Entrepreneurship track of the Arab Startup Competition 13th edition, 2020
- Dania Al-Mubaiden founder and CEO of Draw it: Winner of the Ideas Track of the Arab Startup Competition 13th edition, 2020
We invite all aspiring entrepreneurs and interested candidates to register to attend our upcoming conversation with our alumni in order to answer all your questions about the competition and to learn more about its benefits (beyond the prizes, media exposure, and connections).
